The candidate of Vox for the Junta of Castilla y León and current president of the regional Parliament, Carlos Pollán, has been one of the first representatives of the main parties to go to the polls on this Sunday's election day.

Pollán has cast his vote around 10:20 hours in the polling station located in the old schools of Carbajal de la Legua, a town in the municipality of Sariegos, in the province of León.

A key day for the political future of the community

The participation of the Vox candidate takes place on a decisive day in which the citizens of Castilla y León are called to choose the composition of the autonomous Parliament and, with it, the next Government of the community.

Pollán runs in these elections after having held during the last legislature the presidency of the autonomous Parliament, a position he assumed after the government agreement reached between Popular Party and Vox after the previous elections.

Expectation before the electoral result

The elections this Sunday are taking place in a context of high political expectation, with several formations competing for representation in the Cortes and with the focus placed on whether the conservative bloc manages to maintain the majority or if a change occurs in the parliamentary balance.

As is usual on this type of election day, the main candidates are going to their respective polling stations throughout the morning to exercise their right to vote and make a call for citizen participation.
