The PP of Castilla y León emerges victorious in the regional elections of this March 15 and with two more procurators than it had. Fernández Mañueco, in his appearance tonight to assess the results, has shown himself euphoric.
"This is the backing for the management of the government I have presided over in recent years," the popular [party member] has said, to continue: "We are the ones who have grown the most in votes, in percentage of votes and in seats, achieving up to 33 procurators. We have tripled the distance we had with the PSOE and doubled Vox in votes".
"We have run a good campaign: serious, clean, close to the people and the territory. The PP will start dialogue with all political forces tomorrow but in Castilla y León there will be a government presided over by the PP and for everyone".
In his round of thanks, Mañueco has mentioned the national president of the party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, as well as former presidents Aznar and Rajoy and to all those who have been involved in the campaign.
Rules out the PSOE
"I assume the responsibility of forming a government that the citizens of Castilla y León have entrusted to me," declared Mañueco, who, regarding governance pacts, made it clear that he rules out the PSOE: "A stage of dialogue, agreement, and pact opens, based on the PP's future project, because we have been the ones who have obtained the greatest support. The one we are not going to pact with is the PSOE. With 'sanchismo' any agreement is impossible."
