Podemos and Ciudadanos have been left out of the Parliament of Castilla y León, a Chamber they accessed for the first time in the IX Legislature (2015-2019) with their own representation: ten and five procurators, respectively, in a Cortes that then had 84 seats.
In the following regional election, Ciudadanos managed to significantly improve its results, reaching twelve procurators -one of its representatives would later become non-attached- and entered the first coalition Government presided over by the 'popular' Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, in which Francisco Igea occupied the Vice-Presidency.
The subsequent breakup of that Executive by decision of Fernández Mañueco resulted in an early election in February 2022. After those elections, the presence of Ciudadanos was reduced to a single procurator, Francisco Igea himself, who went on to join the Mixed Group.
Podemos, from 10 representatives to disappear
In parallel, Podemos' trajectory was clearly downward: from the 10 procurators obtained in 2015 it went down to two in 2019 and to one in 2022, that of Pablo Fernández, who ran for Valladolid in coalition with Izquierda Unida under the brand “Unidas-Podemos”.
