The Colombian influencer Javier Arias, known on social media as “Stunt”, has been arrested in a police operation in the municipality of Necoclí (Antioquia, Colombia) after an arsenal of firearms and nearly 50,000 euros in cash were found in his home, according to local media reports.

The operation was carried out by the National Police of Colombia, in coordination with the Attorney General's Office, the National Army, and with support from the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) of the United States.

The weapons found in the search

During the search at the influencer's home, the authorities found various weapons and ammunition.

According to information gathered by Colombian media such as Infobae, the seized material includes:

  • Two pistols
  • Two 12-gauge shotguns
  • One .22 caliber precision carbine
  • Thousands of rounds of ammunition
  • In addition, authorities found 208 million Colombian pesos in cash, an amount equivalent to approximately 50,000 euros.

Investigated for trafficking and illegal possession of weapons

According to information disseminated by the local press, Javier Arias has been arrested as the alleged perpetrator of crimes related to the manufacture, trafficking, and illegal possession of firearms.

The authorities had been following their movements for several days within an investigation related to arms trafficking in the region.

An influencer known for driving a Tesla Cybertruck

Arias became popular on social media for showing an eye-catching lifestyle and for boasting about eccentricities and luxury vehicles.

Among his most viral videos, the moment stands out when he appeared driving a Tesla Cybertruck, one of the most striking electric vehicles from Elon Musk's brand, which is not yet officially marketed in many countries.

That episode, disseminated on social media in 2024, was one of those that most contributed to increasing his notoriety on the internet.

Open investigation

After the arrest, the Colombian authorities continue investigating the origin of the weapons and of the money seized in the operation.

The case is framed within a police offensive against illegal arms trafficking in the Antioquia region, one of the areas where authorities have intensified operations in recent months.
