A new series of aerial bombardments launched on Sunday night by the Israeli Army against Iranian territory has reached the Mehrabad International Airport, in Tehran, as well as a housing complex in the city of Arak, in the center of the country, amid escalating tension in the region after the joint attack by the United States and Israel against the Central Asian country.

“In the context of the continuous attacks against civilian areas, Mehrabad airport has once again been targeted by Israeli fighter jets a few minutes ago,” according to what has been confirmed by the Iranian news portal Sepah News, very close to the Revolutionary Guard.

For its part, the Iranian news agency Fars, has warned that “in recent days” missiles from the “American Zionist enemy” have attacked the Narenjestan residential complex, in Arak, a “densely populated” area, it specified.

In that regard, it should be remembered that at least five people died and another was injured last Tuesday, March 10, due to a bombing that hit a house in the Iranian city of Arak, capital of Markazi province (south of Tehran).

The offensive by the United States and Israel against Iran has left so far more than 3,000 dead, a figure that includes 1,319 civilians -of whom 206 would be minors-, 1,122 military personnel and 599 people whose affiliation has not been able to be clarified, according to the Iranian human rights NGO HRANA, which cites official reports from health, emergency and civil protection authorities and activists.
