The Colombian influencer Javier Arias, known on social media as “Stunt”, has been arrested in a police operation in Necoclí (Antioquia, Colombia) after several firearms, ammunition, and about 208 million Colombian pesos in cash were found in his home, an amount equivalent to about 50,000 euros.
The arrest occurred in a joint operation of the National Police of Colombia, the Attorney General's Office, and the National Army and with support from the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) of the United States, within an investigation against illegal arms trafficking.
An influencer known for showing off cars and luxury
Javier Arias had become known on social media for sharing videos and posts related to his lifestyle and exclusive vehicles.
One of the moments that gave him the most notoriety on the internet was when he appeared driving a Tesla Cybertruck, the striking electric vehicle from Elon Musk's company, which is not yet officially marketed in many countries.
That video, spread on social media in 2024, turned him into one of the most commented profiles in his environment.
The arsenal found by the Police
During the search carried out by the authorities, several firearms and abundant ammunition were found.
According to information published by Colombian media such as Infobae, the seized material includes:
- Two pistols
- Two 12-gauge shotguns
- One .22 caliber precision carbine
- Thousands of cartridges
- In addition, agents located 208 million Colombian pesos in cash, about 50,000 euros.
Investigated for weapons-related crimes
According to the information disseminated by the local press, the influencer is being investigated as the alleged perpetrator of crimes of manufacturing, trafficking, and illegal possession of firearms.
The authorities had been following his movements for several days as part of an operation against arms trafficking in the region.
