The weather in Valencia could get complicated in the coming days just as one of the most important phases of the Fallas begins. According to what the head of Climatology of AEMET in the Valencian Community, José Ángel Núñez, has explained, a new storm could arrive starting on Tuesday.

This atmospheric system could cause cloudy skies, intermittent rains and lower temperatures than usual, coinciding with the second week of mascletàs and the arrival of the pieces of the Fallas monuments for their assembly.

According to the current forecast, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday could be unstable days, although the evolution will depend on the final position of the storm.

Weekend with variable weather in Valencia

Before the arrival of the new front, the weekend will be marked by changing weather, with alternation of clouds and clear spells.

According to Núñez, Saturday could register showers during the central hours of the day, while on Sunday a bit more sun is expected, although there is still the possibility of brief precipitation in the afternoon. Within this variable scenario, Monday could be the calmest day, with a lower probability of rain.

Recent rains due to the Levante wind

The most complicated day of the week occurred on Thursday, when the storm was located over the area and the easterly wind blew with intensity, causing widespread rains in a good part of the Valencia area. This Friday the situation remains conditioned by that system, although with less wind, which allows the precipitations to be less persistent and some clearings to appear.

The wind will lose intensity during the weekend

Despite the predicted instability, the wind does not seem like it will be a problematic factor in the coming days. According to AEMET experts, the intense gusts recorded this week will decrease, so no strong wind episodes are expected during the weekend.

Possible improvement of the weather in mid-March

With the current data, the forecast points to a possible improvement starting from Friday, March 13, although meteorologists remind that it is still early to specify the forecast.

The evolution of the storm during the coming days will be key to determine if the rain fully affects the big week of the Fallas.
