Policy on the labelling of sponsored content

Demócrata, in its commitment to transparency, labels content produced through paid agreements with companies and organisations outside the media outlet in various ways. This document explains the three types of commercial agreements, how they are labelled, and their influence on the content.

Supported by

Content labelled as ‘Supported by’ is editorially independent. The company or organisation may suggest topics to be covered, and the editor responsible for the content may choose to accept or reject these suggestions.

The content is developed exclusively by the media outlet’s journalists, and the texts are not shown to the funder for approval.

Partner content

Content labelled as ‘Partner content’ is produced with funding from the advertiser and is created jointly by the advertiser and the media outlet. Advertisers may participate in the creation of this content by contributing to general topics and/or in other similarly limited ways.

Written by

The ‘Written by’ label is used to describe advertising elements paid for and controlled by the advertiser, not by the publisher. This content is produced by the sales departments and does not involve the editorial team.
