The Court of Violence Against Women number 12 of Madrid has admitted for processing a second complaint for alleged sexual assault against the former parliamentary spokesperson for Sumar Íñigo Errejón, for events that, according to the complainant, would have occurred in October 2021 at the former deputy's home. The information has been confirmed by legal sources to Europa Press.

According to the complaint, the woman initiated contact with Errejón in 2021 through Instagram, maintaining conversations in a “frequent and continuous” manner. After “several weeks” of messages, the former deputy proposed moving the conversation to Telegram, pointing out that on that platform “messages were automatically destroyed.”

During the weeks prior to the first personal encounter, the contact between them would have been intense, with daily messages, until in September 2021 they agreed to meet for the first time at the home of the accused. In that encounter, according to the account gathered in the complaint, they maintained an intimate closeness that consisted “exclusively of kisses, without there being penetration or any other type of sexual relationship”.

“If you scream it will be worse”

The complainant maintains that, after that first encounter, the former deputy began to show “controlling and jealous” behaviors, insistently inquiring about her friendships, outings, and social relationships.

The reported facts are situated on October 16, 2021, when both coincided at a party to which the woman went after accepting an invitation from Errejón, who would have requested and paid for a taxi for her displacement.

According to the account collected in the complaint, during the party both had consumed alcohol and also cocaine. In that context, the complainant states that she agreed “reluctantly” to perform oral sex after the insistence of the former deputy.

The complaint adds that subsequently they went to Errejón's home in the vehicle of a friend of his. During the journey, according to the document, the accused would have inserted his fingers into the woman's vagina “without her consent”, despite her expressing that she did not want to and trying to pull away, a struggle ensued. According to the account, Errejón whispered expressions to her like “if you scream it will be worse” and “if you resist it will be worse”, which the complainant considers a “direct and effective intimidation”.

“Held her by the neck”

Once at the home, the woman maintains that the former deputy insisted on having sexual relations. According to the complaint, she stated that she did not want to do it without a condom, to which he would have initially responded that there would be no penetration. However, the document states that, in a “surprising and violent” manner, Errejón “held her by the neck, placed her on her back and vaginally penetrated her by force, without her consent,” despite her screaming for him to stop.

According to the account collected in the complaint, the penetration lasted for several minutes until the accused stopped. The woman reproached him for his conduct, “being ignored by him”, and subsequently left the home. The document also states that both met again on one more occasion, the former deputy persisting in behaviors of “extreme control”, such as demanding the sending of real-time location and making insistent calls.

The lawyer for the prosecution and the actress Elisa Mouliáa, the first complainant against Errejón, Alfredo Arrien, has requested the court for “absolute protection and confidentiality” of the complainant's identity and that her intervention in the procedure be as a witness.
