Sources from the Popular Party in the Senate inform Demócrata that the group will once again promote the appearance of Francisca Muñoz, wife of socialist leader Santos Cerdán, within the framework of the investigation commission of the so-called ‘Koldo case’.

In this regard, the president of the commission has called for tomorrow a meeting of the Bureau with the aim of agreeing on a new summons, which foreseeably would take place next week and within the deadlines established by the Regulations of the Upper House.

From the PP they explain that Muñoz submitted a medical report dated last Sunday to justify her absence from the session scheduled for today. However, the popular party questions said document after the publication of information in different media outlets in which she is placed, along with her husband, participating in Holy Week celebrations in the Navarrese town of Milagro.

In their judgment, these circumstances generate doubts about the veracity of the justification presented and have caused discomfort among the senators of the group.

In this context, the Popular Party is studying taking another step in the commission and does not rule out requesting the appearance of the medical professional who signs the medical report or, alternatively, gathering an independent expert report that allows verifying the validity of the document. All of this, framed in the group's will to continue with the work of the commission and clarify the facts under investigation, insisting on the need for those appearing to fulfill their obligations to the Chamber.
