The councilor of the Socialist Municipal Group of Móstoles, Enrique Rico, has lashed out at the Popular Party, considering that it "covers up" situations "as serious" as the one affecting the mayor of the town, Manuel Bautista, after a court has admitted for processing the lawsuit filed by a former councilwoman for an alleged case of sexual and labor harassment.
The socialist councilor has underlined that "The first thing is that justice takes its course", statements he made after attending a neighborhood rally against the construction of a crematorium in the vicinity of the M-40.
Rico added that "This confirms once again what the People's Party is doing and what it represents at this time. Instead of siding with the victims, it sides with the alleged harassers", insisting that the attitude of the popular party shows its way of acting in the face of these types of complaints.
Along the same lines, the councilor has denounced that the PP would be maneuvering to, supposedly, cover up situations "as serious" as the one affecting the mayor of Mostoles. "They are covering up cases as serious as what we have learned," Rico has reiterated, demanding that the facts be clarified and that political responsibilities be assumed if the accusations are confirmed.
