Airbnb has unveiled a new private transfer service in partnership with Welcome Pickups, operating in more than 125 cities in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Among them are the Spanish cities Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Malaga, and Valencia, "according to a statement".
In this way, when a user books an accommodation in a city where the service is active, they will have the possibility to add the transfer from the "Trips" tab of the "app". After confirming the reservation, the traveler will be able to review and adjust the service details directly on Airbnb.
For arrivals, the "meet & greet" modality is offered, which includes a personalized welcome at the agreed meeting point. In the case of departures, the driver will travel to the client's accommodation to take them to the airport or another previously fixed transport location.
The launch is integrated into the "Services" category, created in May 2025, and comes after a pilot test carried out at the beginning of this year in Europe and Asia, which obtained an average score of 4.96 out of 5 from users.
"Now, users can book a private car in advance and forget about the complications of transport in a new city. We will continue expanding Services on Airbnb with new useful proposals: this is just the beginning," said Airbnb's Chief Business Officer, Dave Stephenson.
With the service available since its launch in more than 125 countries, the company expects to continue extending its coverage in Europe and Asia throughout 2026.
