The president of the CEOE, Antonio Garamendi, has revealed this Friday that the second vice president and Minister of Labor herself, Yolanda Díaz, directly communicated to him that she will not repeat as a candidate in the next general elections.

“Personally, I wish him the best. I don't know if the known bad is good, rather than the worse to know,” Garamendi has pointed out in an interview on Antena 3, in statements collected by Europa Press.

Despite this announcement, the business leader has stressed that Díaz remains at the head of the Ministry of Labor and has insisted that this department “has been profoundly mistaken” both in the decisions adopted and in its way of acting, which he has described as a “social monologue”.

In this vein, he has criticized that the measures promoted by Labor have caused “legal uncertainty and an enormous lack of confidence in companies to hire people”, which, in his opinion, is negatively affecting the labor market.
