Lufthansa has decided to extend until the month of October the suspension of several flights destined for the Middle East due to the war in Iran, according to the airline.
Specifically, connections with Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), Beirut (Lebanon) and Tehran (Iran) will remain cancelled until October 24, while other routes, such as those linking with Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and Tel Aviv (Israel), continue, for now, interrupted until May 31.
Travelers affected by these cancellations have the possibility to modify their ticket without paying additional fees or request a full refund of the amount.
Recommendation of EASA
For its part, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA, for its acronym in English) maintains in force until March 27 its recommendation to avoid flights destined for Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
