The Social Security has incorporated 242,954 new affiliates (+1.1%) in the first half of April, between March 31 and April 15, reaching a historical maximum of 22,103,509 contributors in the daily series, as communicated this Friday by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations.

"The dynamism of our labor market is even greater at the beginning of April, when we have broken an unprecedented record by reaching more than 22.1 million affiliates in the daily series", highlighted the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz.

If compared with the volume of affiliates registered on the same date of 2025, in the last twelve months 490,733 contributors have been incorporated, according to the data from the daily series.

In seasonally adjusted terms, the first half of April, coinciding with the celebration of Holy Week, concluded with 22,023,984 affiliates, which represents a new historical maximum after increasing by 50,989 employed persons in the last month.

By eliminating seasonality and the calendar effect, Social Security accounts for 519,226 more affiliates in the last year.

According to the Ministry, the total number of affiliates has grown by 1,183,580 people in the adjusted series since December 2023 and by 1,736,088 since December 2022, just before the labor reform came into force.
