The Procurators' Mutual Society held a meeting this March with the MEP and secretary general of the European People's Party, Dolors Montserrat, with the aim of conveying to her the "urgency" of bringing forward the gateway to the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers (RETA) before the current legislature concludes, as detailed by the entity this Wednesday in a statement.

At the meeting were present the president of the Mutualidad, Francisco Toll Musteros, and the counselor Gemma Arnan Jiménez, who explained the "direct impact" that the "lack of regulatory progress" is causing in the situation of the mutual members.

"The catwalk needs an immediate political impulse that provides certainty to those who are awaiting key decisions about its future," Gemma Arnan pointed out.

Likewise, the Mutual Society expressed its willingness to collaborate in the design of a "viable, voluntary, and with guarantees pathway", so that both the incorporation into RETA and the protection of the economic rights of those professionals who prefer to remain with the entity are ensured.

For her part, Montserrat showed "receptivity" to the proposal, in coherence with her experience in the legal and judicial field. Furthermore, according to the statement, the MEP committed to "facilitating new avenues of dialogue" within the European framework to "strengthen the institutional momentum" of this demand.
