The workforce of Tubos Reunidos is scheduled to mobilize this Wednesday through the center of Bilbao to express its opposition to the ERE proposed by the management for the factories of Trapagaran (Vizcaya) and Amurrio (Álava). The file now contemplates 285 redundancies, below the 301 included in the initial proposal, of which 222 are concentrated in the Álava plant and 63 in the Vizcaya one.

The file, registered last Monday before the labor authority, maintains the closure of the Amurrio steel mill and the outsourcing of logistics. In this way, the number of affected no longer reaches the 301 that the company had initially included in its ERE, whose consultation period ended without agreement between the parties.

The demonstration, called against the layoffs and to "topple" the ERE, will start at eleven in the morning from number 18 Máximo Agirre street, where the company's headquarters in Bilbao are located. That same day, but in Amurrio, the pickets of the Tubos Reunidos strike will receive at five in the morning the workers of Maderas de Llodio, likewise affected by an ERE with 35 layoffs, which the High Court of Justice of the Basque Country has declared unfair.
