The Tax Agency will open the Income Tax campaign corresponding to the 2025 fiscal year next April 8. From that day, declarations can be submitted online.

The deadline will remain open until June 30, 2026, a period in which taxpayers must review, confirm, or modify their declaration before definitively submitting it.

Can the Income Tax draft be seen already?

Although the official draft will not be available until the start of the campaign, it is possible to get ahead.

The Tax Agency allows access to previous tools such as the Renta Web simulator, where any taxpayer can enter their data and approximately calculate if the result will be to pay or to refund.

How to know before April 8 if it comes out to refund you or to pay

The key is in the official simulator of the Tax Agency, known as Renta Web Open.

Through this tool, the user can replicate their declaration by entering income, deductions, and personal situation. The system calculates an indicative result without the need to identify oneself.

That said, the Treasury does not validate those data, so the result is not definitive, although it does serve to anticipate the tax impact.

The draft is not definitive: the most common error that you must avoid

One of the most frequent mistakes each year is to confirm the draft without reviewing it.

The document offered by Hacienda is only a proposal prepared with the available tax data, but may contain errors or not include applicable deductions.

Tax experts recommend reviewing especially additional income, aid, rentals, investments or any change in personal situation before validating the return.

The three key checks before filing the declaration

Before confirming the draft, it is advisable to review three essential points:

  1. That all income is correctly reflected
  2. That all possible deductions have been applied, both state and autonomous
  3. That personal and bank details are updated

This step can make the difference between paying too much or maximizing the refund.

How to access the Income draft when it is activated

When the campaign opens, the draft will be available on the electronic headquarters of the Tax Agency within the Renta WEB service.

Access can be done through Mobile Cl@ve, digital certificate, electronic DNI or reference number. For those who do not have these systems, the reference number can be requested by entering the DNI and box 505 of the previous declaration or the IBAN.
