The Socialist Party of Castile and León (PSCL) has been the most voted formation in the electoral census of absent residents (CERA), with 4,303 votes, surpassing the PP, which obtained 3,181 votes, and Vox, with 1,965 votes, according to official recount data. This result reaffirms that the vote of residents outside Spain has not altered the results obtained at the polls last March 15.

Socialist victory in most provinces

The socialists have won in all provinces among residents abroad, with the exception of Zamora, where the PP achieved a narrow victory by 464 votes against the 463 of the PSOE. In Ávila, the PSOE has prevailed with 343 votes, against the 215 of the PP, the 92 of Vox and the 39 of Por Ávila. Similarly, in Burgos, the PSOE has obtained 557 votes, against the 481 of the PP and the 298 of Vox.

Triumph in León and other provinces

In León, the PSOE has also achieved victory with 874 votes, surpassing the PP with 637 votes and Vox with 433 votes. In Palencia, the PSOE has taken the victory with 229 votes, ahead of the 144 from the PP and the 86 from Vox. In Segovia, the socialists have obtained 165 votes, while the PP was left with 92 votes and Vox with 47 votes.

In Soria, the PSOE has won with 180 votes, compared to the 143 of the PP and the 112 of Vox, while in Valladolid, Pedro Sánchez's party has reached 692 votes, leaving behind the PP with 456 votes and Vox with 234 votes.

Zamora, the only exception

Despite the strong socialist victory in most provinces, Zamora has been the only exception in the CERA vote. In this province, the PP has surpassed the PSOE by 464 votes, a very narrow victory against the 463 votes that the PSOE achieved, while Vox obtained 249 votes.

The count reflects that the PSOE has maintained a solid base of support among residents outside of Spain, consolidating itself as the preferred option by Castilians and Leonese abroad.
