More than 1,400 dead in Lebanon from Israel's attacks during the Iran war

The Lebanese Executive estimates that more than 1,400 people have lost their lives and about 4,300 have been wounded by the attacks launched by Israel since the start of the Iran war, last February 28, an offensive that has continued throughout this Saturday.

The most recent count from the Ministry of Health of Lebanon raises the deceased to 1,422 and the injured to 4,294. Among the fatal victims are 126 minors and another 441 children have been injured in the Israeli bombings.

Throughout the day, the Israeli Army has reported new operations in southern Lebanon and in Beirut against facilities of the Shiite militias of Hezbollah and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, "used by the organization's senior commanders to maintain contact with Hezbollah and coordinate terrorist operations against the State of Israel".

The official Lebanese agency NNA has indicated that Israeli forces have continued their offensive to penetrate the south of the country, attacking the bridges that cross the Litani River, the main geographical reference of the area. The last destroyed target has been the bridge connecting Sahmar with Mashghara, which has been completely razed.

Regarding the casualty toll on the ground, the NNA has reported at least two dead and five injured on the road between Haboush and Kfour, in the context of additional attacks against the towns of Bint Jbeil, Burj Qalauiya, and Kfardounin. Additionally, another two people have died and two more have been injured in another bombing on a residence in Ain Baal.
