The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has celebrated this Monday the death of the head of Intelligence of Iran's Revolutionary Guard, Mayid Jademi, considered a key piece of the Iranian security apparatus, as well as that of the commander of the Quds Force, Asqar Baqeri, in the context of the attacks included in the joint offensive launched at the end of February alongside the United States.

"Another central arm of the Iranian terrorist regime has been neutralized. Tonight we eliminated Majid Jademi, head of Intelligence of the Revolutionary Guard, a key figure of the Iranian regime, who had just assumed the position after the elimination of his predecessor", Netanyahu asserted in a statement.

"We have also eliminated Asqar Baqeri, commander of section 840 of the Quds Force, responsible for attacks against Jews and Israelis worldwide," the leader asserted, who affirmed that "the blood of those who try to assassinate our citizens or direct terror against the State of Israel will fall upon their heads."

Thus, he has said to act "with strength and determination" to "reach anyone who tries to harm us." "We will continue with all our strength, on all fronts, until the threat is eliminated and all the war objectives are achieved," he has stated.

Hours earlier, the Iranian authorities had confirmed the death of Jademi in a bombing attributed to the United States and Israel and have stressed that "he has achieved the grace of martyrdom in a criminal terrorist attack by the American-Zionist enemy during the early hours of today".

Likewise, security forces have indicated that "under the precise direction of Intelligence, it attacked Tehran last night and killed the commander of Unit 840 special operations of the Quds Force," who had held the position since 2019. "In recent years he had held several high-ranking positions within this unit, where he has supported numerous attacks against Israeli and American targets worldwide," the Army has indicated in a statement.

"He has also participated in and promoted terrorist acts against the State of Israel through operations carried out in Israeli territory, Syria, and Lebanon. He has promoted operations to harm Israeli forces operating in Syria's buffer zone using Syrian operatives who had previously served for the Army of (Bashar) al Assad," he clarified.
