The image of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, will appear on a new limited edition of passports to mark the 250th anniversary of the country's independence, as reported by Fox News.
According to mock-ups released by the network, Trump's face will be placed on the inside cover of the document, framed by the Declaration of Independence and the American flag, also accompanied by his signature in gold color.
On another of the passport's pages, a representation of the so-called “founding fathers” during the signing of the historic independence document would be included.
A launch planned for summer and limited distribution
The launch of these new passports is scheduled for this summer, within the official celebrations of the United States' independence anniversary. According to the information released, these documents can be requested at the Washington Passport Agency, although their availability will be limited.
Despite the redesign, authorities have indicated that the passports will maintain the usual security standards required for this type of official document.
A series of initiatives with Trump's image on official symbols
The incorporation of the president's face on passports is part of a series of recent initiatives in which his figure has been included in different symbolic elements of the State.
In parallel, the Treasury Department announced in March that Trump's signature will also appear on future dollar bills, a measure that, according to the agency, seeks to highlight the "economic achievements" of his administration and would be an unprecedented event in the country's recent history.
Likewise, a federal art committee approved the design of a coin with the image of the president, depicted with his fists resting on a desk, based on a photograph taken in 2025 and currently on display at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington.
