The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has assured this Wednesday that Washington is "about" to achieve "all" its military purposes in Iran, at the same time that he has advanced a new series of "strong" offensives during the next "two or three weeks".

"Thanks to the advances we have made, I can state tonight that we are on track to complete all of the United States' military objectives shortly, very shortly," the head of the White House proclaimed in a televised message to the nation, in which he reiterated that they will attack with "all" their "forces" during the "next two or three weeks" Tehran.

The speech, which has lasted about 19 minutes, represents Trump's first appearance directly addressed to the American population since the joint offensive with Israel against Iran began on February 28. In this operation, key figures of the regime have died, among them the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei; the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani; and the ministers of Defense and Intelligence, Aziz Nasirzadeh and Esmaeil Khatib, in addition to relevant commanders of the Armed Forces and other security forces.

After promising that they are going to "return" Iran "to the Stone Age where they belong", the American leader has called it an "intolerable threat" that a "regime that has recently murdered 45,000 of its own citizens who were protesting in Iran" can possess nuclear weaponry. However, Iranian authorities place the death toll in anti-government protests at 3,117 people, while the organization Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) raises the figure to more than 7,000 fatalities due to the repression.

"The most violent and ruthless regime in the world would have free rein to carry out campaigns of terror, coercion, conquest, and mass murder under the cover of a nuclear shield," he warned, stressing that he "never" will allow that "to happen."

CONVERSATIONS THAT "ARE STILL ONGOING"

In his intervention, and after insisting that a "regime change" in Iran does not figure as an "objective" of the United States, Trump has specified that "in the meantime" the conversations "are ongoing", this time with a power leadership in Tehran which he has described as "less radical and much more reasonable".

Nevertheless, the American president has warned that, if an agreement is not reached "in this time", he will order to attack "each and every one of its electrical infrastructures" through a possible offensive with "all" his "forces" and "probably, simultaneously".

"We have not attacked their oil facilities, despite that being the easiest target of all, because that would not leave them even the slightest possibility of surviving or rebuilding themselves," he explained, before remarking that "he could attack them and they would disappear" without Iran being able to do "anything about it" since, as he reiterated, "they have no anti-aircraft equipment and their radar is 100% annihilated."

A few hours before addressing the nation, Trump had stated on his social media that Iranian authorities had requested a ceasefire and that Washington "will study" that proposal when they "open the Strait of Hormuz". Tehran, however, has denied this claim this very Wednesday and has called the statements of the US president "false".
