The White House has confirmed that the president of the United States, Donald Trump, will address with the secretary general of NATO, Mark Rutte, the possibility of a US withdrawal from the Atlantic Alliance in the scheduled meeting in the Oval Office.
The presidential spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, has indicated that the meeting will focus on the future of the United States' role within the organization, at a time of maximum international tension and with the global security balance under review.
