An armed individual opened fire this Saturday in a supermarket in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, causing the death of two people and leaving, for the moment, five others injured, according to the city's mayor, Vitali Klitschko.
In a statement released on his Telegram channel, the mayor has alerted residents that the attacker remains holed up inside the establishment and that police forces continue to try to neutralize him without success so far.
According to health sources, two fatalities have been confirmed for now and five people injured, all of them passers-by who have been transferred to the hospital. The injured would have been hit by the shots that the aggressor fired towards the public road before entering the supermarket.
