The first vice president of the Government and Minister of Economy, Carlos Cuerpo, has lashed out at the pact reached between PP and Vox that will allow the re-election of María Guardiola as president of Extremadura. When asked about this agreement, he stated: "My feeling is that it is an economic and social setback, and for my land I have to say that it saddens me."

From the Global Progressive Mobilisation (GPM), held this Saturday at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, Cuerpo has defended that, at a time when he considers it essential to break down barriers, reduce fragmentation, and deepen cooperation and dialogue, the understanding between both formations goes "totally in the opposite direction".

When addressing the implications of the pact on climate policies, he has warned that "it is going to make Extremadura more isolated and lose an excellent opportunity, turning its back on its main energy source, segregating its population".
