The Deputy Secretary of Sectoral Coordination of the PP and MEP Alma Ezcurra considers "absolute common sense" the withdrawal of unemployment benefits for those who reject three job offers, as stated in the labor reform promoted by the German Government of the Christian Democrat Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

In Germany, the Bundestag has given the green light to a modification of non-contributory social aid, known as citizen's payment, which introduces a system of sanctions for people who do not attend the calls from the employment agency.

Thus, if a beneficiary misses a first appointment, they will automatically receive a second. Should they fail to appear for this new call, the aid will be reduced by 30%, and if they also do not attend a third appointment, the benefit will be completely suspended. The initiative must still be endorsed by the German Territorial Chamber.

In this scenario, PP leader Alma Ezcurra has publicly shown her support for the German reform through her social media, sharing information about the withdrawal of the subsidy for those who reject three job offers and emphasizing: “It is absolute common sense.”
