The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has conveyed this Sunday his congratulations to the leader of the Hungarian party Tisza-Respect and Freedom Party, Péter Magyar, for his "great victory" in the elections, and has highlighted that Hungary has opted for a "pro-European" option that contributes to "stability on the continent".
Through a message on the social network 'X', Feijóo has stated that it is "great news that there is more Popular Party in Europe" and that, "in times of uncertainty", the Hungarian electorate has "voted massively for a pro-European party to strengthen stability on the continent".
In that same publication, he has stressed that "those of us who believe in liberal democracy, the Rule of Law and the need to help Ukraine have reasons for optimism."
Feijóo has concluded his message congratulating the "great day" both to the Hungarian citizens and to Magyar for their "great victory", and has remarked that "the next great success of the European People's Party will be in Spain".
On the other hand, the general secretary of the PP, Miguel Tellado, has reacted to the congratulatory message that the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, disseminated on 'X' —in which he affirmed that "today Europe and European values win"— to claim his party.
Tellado has written that "for once, one must give him the reason. When the PP wins, Europe and European values win. Very meritorious the result of the left: zero seats is also great news. Coming soon to Spain."
