Congress holds an extraordinary Plenary Session this Thursday afternoon for the validation of the Royal Decree-Law on the Iran war. Barring surprises, the text will be ratified thanks to the investiture bloc, the 'yes' of Junts and despite the abstention of Podemos

The Government approved last Friday in a Council of Ministers a plan of 5,000 million. The core of the package pivots on immediate measures to contain the impact on the cost of energy. Among them, the reduction of VAT on fuels to 10%, as well as the reduction of VAT on electricity and gas from 21% to 10%.

Neither PP nor Vox have advanced the sense of their vote, although the Government's numbers already add up. Alberto Nuñez Feijóo's formation had asked the Executive to withdraw the Royal Decree-Law and present a new one with more agreed measures.

While, the spokesperson for the Popular Group, Ester Múñoz, acknowledged that among the measures approved by the Council of Ministers there are some of those proposed by the PP, she criticized that it included issues such as "the closure of nuclear power plants" which her party did not have to accept, she assured. Among the issues that the main opposition party misses in the current wording is the deflation of the personal income tax.
