After the appearance of Pedro Sánchez and the control session, the Plenary of Congress resumes its activity this Thursday from 9:00 a.m. with the debate on the validation or repeal of the Royal Decree-Law 6/2026, of March 3, by which the Democratic Memory Law is modified, which seeks to extend the recognition of deceased persons or victims of incapacitating injuries until December 29, 1978 “for their activity in defense and vindication of Democracy”, and sets indemnities of up to 500,000 euros.

Next, the Proposal for constitutional reform to the effect that the island of Formentera elects its own senator, independently of the one elected by the island of Eivissa will be processed in a single reading. The initiative, proposed by the Parliament of the Balearic Islands, aims to modify article 69.3 of the constitutional text to include Formentera as one of the islands that elect a senator in general elections. Should it obtain the necessary three-fifths majority, it will be sent to the Senate to continue its parliamentary processing.

Afterwards it will be the turn of the debate on the amendments approved by the Senate to the Organic Law Proposal on multi-offending and Comprehensive Bill to promote the social economy, which thus conclude their parliamentary processing.

Finally, all the initiatives that the Plenary has seen this week will be voted on. However, once concluded, their Lordships will not put an end to their activity. The chamber will host an extraordinary Plenary Session for the validation or derogation of the Royal Decree-Law with measures in response to the Iran war that you can follow live here.
