Plates continue to move in that space known as ‘to the left of the PSOE’. The next step forward, which is how they have named the meeting, will be held in Seville on April 19 with the participation of United Left, Sumar Movement, Más Madrid and the Comuns.

Sources from these formations have sent a joint statement in which they assure that, in this way, they take “one more step in the initiated construction of a common, shared, and open alliance for the upcoming general elections, also making this act coincide in time and place with the pre-campaign of the Andalusian regional elections, which they decided to call just a week ago for next May 17”.

The motto continues to be ‘A step forward’, the same one that these formations also give to support the coalition ‘For Andalusia’, “the best way to stand up to the disastrous management carried out by the right of Juanma Moreno Bonilla in that territory these last four years and to the intentions of the far-right to make the PP fall once again into their blackmail, as happens in other communities despite the fact that Alberto Núñez Feijóo's party continues to boast of electoral victories”, they underline.

All the political forces of the left are invited

The signatory parties of the statement affirm that they continue with “the work undertaken months ago to weave a more democratic, solid space and fulfill our commitment to close the doors to all those conservative policies that subtract rights from the social majority of any territory and at the state level”.

Therefore, they add, they return “to invite all political forces of the plurinational and transformative left of the State to attend. Our hands have never ceased to be extended for dialogue and cooperation, respecting the times and needs of each organization”.

In their words, “facing the serious involution pursued by reactionary forces in rights as important as healthcare, education, or housing requires the greatest and broadest possible effort, therefore, just like in the Madrid event, we want to feel again the close presence of cultural figures, unions, and social movements, who are the best company to continue providing answers to the demands that society makes of us”.
