The secretary general of Vox, Ignacio Garriga, has shown this Monday his satisfaction that Begoña Gómez has been prosecuted for four crimes, understanding that the wife of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, is "the tip of the iceberg" of the PSOE's "mafia".

The magistrate investigating the "Begoña Gómez case", Carlos Peinado, has decided to prosecute the wife of the head of the Executive for alleged crimes of embezzlement, influence peddling, business corruption, and misappropriation.

As Garriga has stressed in a press conference held in Bambú after the meeting of Vox's Executive, for these crimes Begoña Gómez will have to explain "a lot" before Justice "for what they have done and are trying to hide".

Vox's criticisms of the PSOE's accusations against the judge

Questioned about the words of the Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes, Félix Bolaños, who has insinuated a possible prevarication by Judge Peinado, Garriga has pointed out that "it's nothing new".

"It's something the PSOE has accustomed us to, just like the separatists; when they are caught with the ice cream cart, that is, stealing from Spaniards, well, they have to point the finger at the judge," the Vox leader affirmed, remarking that there is "ample evidence" to prosecute Sánchez's wife.

The prosecution of Begoña Gómez coincides with the official trip of the President of the Government to China, a circumstance that Garriga has assured does not surprise him. "It is the tenth chapter of Sánchez who, whenever he can, goes to embrace those he shouldn't, like narco-dictators, or congratulate terrorists," he has denounced.

In this vein, the Vox spokesperson has accused Sánchez of being "in a flight forward", trying, in his opinion, to play the role of "the ambassador of world peace" when, as he has stressed, he is "the main responsible party" for Spaniards not being able to go out into the street without risk of being assaulted or raped by those who, he maintains, the Government itself brings to the country.
