The stay of the president of the Community of Madrid in Mexico is being highly contested by the authorities of the Aztec country. The latest reaction has been the determination of the president, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, who, according to sources from the administration presided over by Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has given orders to boycott the Platino awards gala, threatening to close the hotel where they are held if the Madrid president attends.

According to the statement to which Demócrata has had access, "it is an unprecedented event, as the Mexican Government has threatened the organizers of the Platino Ibero-American Film Awards with closing the complex where they are held if the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, attends both the event and the venue, at any time".

This gala is co-sponsored by the Community of Madrid and the City Council of Madrid, it is celebrated one year in Cancun and another, in the capital of Spain.

From Aztec television - sources consulted maintain - "the president of Mexico has attacked Díaz Ayuso every day and has called for a boycott of several of her events. The far-left governing Mexico has shown itself surprisingly nervous about this trip, which is usual for Spanish regional presidents".

At this point, Díaz Ayuso has decided to hold meetings with the organizers, but not attend the gala so as not to harm Mexican businessmen, nor the participants in the celebration of an international event of this magnitude.

In its statement, it insists that "it is false, as the Spanish left says, that the president's agenda was empty. During the weekend attendance at the Platino awards gala was planned, in addition to meetings with representatives from the Spanish and Ibero-American film industry, who are the ones who invited the president to this part of the trip".

Ayuso returns to Mexico

"The entire climate of boycott that continues to grow on the part of the Mexican far-left government -the statement underlines- forces President Díaz Ayuso to suspend the third part of the trip that was planned in Monterrey, and return to Madrid.  The Mexican Government has demanded every name and surname of all those who meet with the Madrid president. It is unusual for Sheinbaum to threaten a political representative of another country because she does not agree with her ideas, and does not act with the respect with which she is received in Spain".

The total and violent drift of Mexico leads the country to serious anti-democratic episodes like the one being experienced today. In short - points out the statement from the Community of Madrid -, the president of Mexico has expelled Isabel Díaz Ayuso by threatening the organizers of an International film event. An unprecedented gesture against a representative of the Spanish State, culture, and freedom of enterprise and expression.
