The police union JUPOL has defended this marftes its work regarding its investigations in the Plus Ultra case. In this sense, the organization has publicly expressed its firm support and recognition for the work being carried out by the Economic and Fiscal Crime Unit (UDEF) of the National Police, as well as for all agents who have participated in the investigation and in subsequent operations related to the rescue of the airline Plus Ultra.

The union emphasizes that UDEF professionals have been working for months with absolute discretion, dedication, rigor, and professionalism, and that they have also had to endure media pressure that they consider improper and undeserved. Likewise, it denounces that in recent weeks there have been interested leaks and discredit campaigns aimed at generating doubts about the professionalism and solvency of a police investigation that, they point out, has been developed under the principles of legality and is subject to the judicial control of the Audiencia Nacional.

JUPOL emphasizes the commitment of the agents participating in complex investigations, highlighting that they act guided exclusively by the facts, the evidence, and the strict observance of the law.

In this sense, it stresses that the UDEF must continue to be a benchmark in the fight against economic crime and corruption, and that it deserves the institutional and social respect corresponding to those who perform a public service.

For all these reasons, the organization conveys its congratulations and recognition to all police officers involved in this complex investigation and in the operations derived from it, stating that their work once again demonstrates the professionalism, capacity, and commitment of the National Police in the face of any type of external pressure. Finally, JUPOL reaffirms that it will always continue to defend national police officers against any attempt at discredit or pressure that may condition their professional work.
