1,700 people remain confined this Wednesday aboard a cruise ship docked in Bordeaux after a gastroenteritis outbreak was detected, which has caused the death of one passenger and has affected at least fifty people.
The ship, operated by the British shipping company Ambassador Cruise Line, arrived at the French port from the Shetland Islands, with previous stops in Belfast, Liverpool and Brest.
The victim is a British citizen over 90 years old, whose death was communicated by the company to the port authorities of Bordeaux.
