You won't get out of paying the notary, but you will get out of the rest. CaixaBank has launched a new free service to help its clients prepare their wills, an initiative developed in collaboration with Legálitas with which the entity seeks to facilitate succession planning procedures.

The service will allow clients to access specialized legal advice and will-preparation support at no cost, although the final formalization before a notary will continue to be borne by the client.

The initiative is part of the financial institution's range of services linked to wealth and succession management, in a context where planning for inheritances and wills is gaining importance among services aimed at clients.

What the new service includes

As CaixaBank has explained, the new service will offer personalized legal advice to resolve doubts related to the will and will accompany the client in the preparation of the document.

This accompaniment will be carried out through Legálitas, whose professionals will be responsible for guiding the client through the process and preparing the corresponding draft.

The service, therefore, covers the legal advice and preparation phase of the will. What it does not include is the formalization before a notary, a mandatory procedure for the will to be officially granted, and whose costs must continue to be borne by the client.

A new service within the offering for clients

CaixaBank frames this initiative within its strategy of expanding services linked to personal and wealth advice.

The entity presents this new resource as a tool to facilitate a legal procedure that, although common, many people postpone or do not know how to manage.

With this alliance with Legálitas, CaixaBank incorporates a new legal service aimed at simplifying the process prior to the granting of the will and offering professional support during its preparation.

The entity does not propose this service as a substitute for the notarial procedure, but as a way to facilitate the prior planning and drafting phase for the client with specialized support.
