The Andalusian elections are just around the corner. With an eye on the upcoming May 17, the candidates for the Junta are rushing through the final days of the campaign to attract Andalusian voters. Most polls reveal a comfortable victory for the PP candidate, Juanma Moreno, who will seek to govern alone, if parliamentary arithmetic allows it.

With everything yet to be decided, Demócrata has published its own poll to gauge its readers' opinion on what the scenario will be where the 'popular' must play his cards if he aspires to revalidate his position as president of the Junta.

Narrow absolute majority

55 is the number of seats Juanma Moreno needs if he aims to govern alone. To the question of whether the PP candidate will manage to achieve an absolute majority, Demócrata readers have responded:

  • Yes, Moreno will achieve an absolute majority: 49%
  • No, the PP will fall short and will need Vox: 51%

In total, 461 voters have participated, reflecting a slight advantage for the option that anticipates a scenario without an absolute majority.

A political climate marked by the final stretch of the campaign

The poll arrives at a key moment, with the electoral campaign entering its final week and a few hours before the final debate between the five main candidates.

Tonight's face-to-face will be the last big stage before the May 17 election day, in a context in which opinion polls point to a possible rerun of the PP majority, although with a margin of uncertainty.

The final debate will feature the five candidates with parliamentary representation: Juanma Moreno (PP), María Jesús Montero (PSOE), Manuel Gavira (Vox), Antonio Maíllo (Por Andalucía), and José Ignacio García (Adelante Andalucía).

It can be followed live starting at 9:45 PM, with national broadcast on Canal 24 horas, La 1 in disconnection for Andalusia, Radio 5 and RTVE Play. In Andalusia, the debate can be followed at the same time on Canal Sur, which is organizing tonight's face-to-face between the candidates.
