The president of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, announced this Thursday a new long-range attack against a Russian refinery located in the Samara region, in the center of the country, as well as another operation against a headquarters of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) in the Jersón region, in the south.

"Another long-range Ukrainian attack against Russia's oil refining capacity. We continue to advance in this line of action. This time it was the Sizran oil refinery, located more than 800 kilometers from our border," he stressed in a message on social media in which he also expressed his gratitude to the Ukrainian forces, highlighting their "precision." Later, the Ukrainian president stated in another message on his social media that personnel from the main special forces and counter-terrorism unit of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) have hit an FSB headquarters in Jersón.

"A Russian FSB headquarters has been attacked and a Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile system has been destroyed in our temporarily occupied territory. Thanks to this operation alone, Russian losses amount to around a hundred dead and wounded occupants," he stated on social media, where he published a video of the attack.

Previously, the governor of Samara, Viacheslav Fedorischev, had reported the death of at least two people due to a drone attack by the Ukrainian Army against Sizran, in Samara, indicating that "two people have been killed by the inhumane actions of the enemy," in an incident that also leaves several wounded.
