The regional secretary of the PSOE in Castilla y León, Carlos Martínez, has criticized "anything goes" as a strategy of desgaste in politics and has reiterated his confidence in the honesty of former President of the Government José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, investigated in the 'Plus Ultra case' for alleged crimes of money laundering and influence peddling.

"I continue to believe in President Zapatero's honesty. Therefore, today he has my support," the socialist leader asserted through a message published on his personal account on 'X'.

Carlos Martínez has also pointed out that the politics of premature condemnation, insinuations "and anything goes to wear down" is "tiring" and, in contrast, has advocated for "politics of principles," the presumption of innocence, and democratic respect.

On his 'X' profile, Martínez also shared a video of the national president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijoo, from a rally held on May 12, in which the popular leader stated that there were starting to be "many suspicions" about President Zapatero and predicted: "Much more next week."
