Dance of figures. As almost always. The teachers' strike in the Valencian Community has left a new clash between the Ministry of Education and the unions over the real follow-up of the protest. While the regional Administration maintains that the day had a limited impact, the organizing organizations defend that the support has been significantly greater.
The mobilization arrives after days of tension between the Valencian Government and representatives of the educational sector over measures questioned by the unions, which maintain their criticisms and demand changes in the educational policy promoted by the Generalitat.

Education reduces monitoring
The Ministry of Education has placed the follow-up of the strike at 18.7% of the teaching staff, according to the official balance released during the day. The regional administration has defended that the activity in the centers has developed with general normality and with the minimum services foreseen. From the regional Department, it has also been insisted that the right to strike has coexisted with the maintenance of basic educational attention in the affected centers.

The organizing organizations have offered a very different reading of the day and maintain that the support has been considerably higher than that communicated by the Conselleria. The unions maintain that the mobilization reflects the existing discontent in the sector and defend that the protest remains fully justified for the reasons that led to the call for the strike. During the day, concentrations and protest events have also taken place in different parts of the Valencian Community.
