The positioning records of the defendants' mobile phones and the discovery of a bracelet with the name "Francis" became decisive elements for the National Police to locate, more than two years after the disappearance of Francisco de Pablo Páez, his body buried under the floor of the kitchen of a family property in Aldea del Fresno, inside an old septic tank.

This was stated this Wednesday before the popular jury by the chief inspector of the Hortaleza Police Station who took charge of the investigation, who specified that the study of the telephone antennas made it possible to place Israel C. R., the confessed perpetrator of the murder, on his father's property on the same day of the disappearance, the place where the mortal remains were finally found.

Francisco de Pablo disappeared on March 21, 2022, after leaving his home in Hortaleza to collect a debt of about 300 euros. His remains were not found until June 6, 2024, when the investigations took a turn thanks to data provided by a protected witness.

The police official indicated that the tracking of the phones' movements led the agents to rustic land in Aldea del Fresno, which caused the investigation to focus on that property. From there, multiple inspections were carried out in the area until the exact spot was delimited.

In relation to communications, one of the investigators explained the analysis carried out on the mobile phones of several people, including the victim himself. Francisco's mother provided relevant information to advance the proceedings and identified Israel as one of her son's acquaintances. In those checks, the Police detected that Israel's father was listed as the owner of a property in Aldea del Fresno.

In another part of his statement, the instructor of the proceedings pointed out that the investigation lasted for more than a year until the necessary evidence was gathered to locate the body, which was found buried under the pavement of the kitchen of a construction built over an old septic tank. It was trained dogs that marked the spot on the floor where the deceased was located.

Among the objects recovered in the excavation was a bracelet with the name "Francis," a discovery that reinforced the agents' certainty that they had found the place where the corpse had been hidden.

The inspector also described the checks carried out on the vehicle used by Israel C. R., which, according to police conclusions, was used to transport the victim's body from San Fernando de Henares to the farm in Aldea del Fresno, where it remained buried until June 2024.

The agents' statements before the court come one day after the main defendant admitted to the jury that he had killed Francisco de Pablo with two blows from an iron bar after an argument, although he denied having attacked from behind and maintained that everything happened by chance during a fight.

The second defendant, for his part, admitted to having only intervened in the transport and concealment of the body, denying any involvement in the homicide.

The Prosecutor's Office maintains its request for 22 years in prison for Israel C. R. for a murder offense and two and a half years in prison for Fernando R. P. for the concealment of the corpse.
