The Ministry of Defense has contracted with Airbus Defense and Space for the implementation of a flight simulator training course for the C-295 tactical transport aircraft, intended for crews of Wing 35, for a total amount of 396,069 euros.
This training is part of the framework agreement for the instruction of personnel from the Air and Space Army using simulators, divided into 15 lots and with a total budget of 15.6 million euros.
In particular, the award to the aircraft manufacturer corresponds to lot number 4 and represents the highest value contract among the various planned courses, according to information published on the Public Sector Contracting Platform.
These activities include everything from theoretical training to advanced training in low-altitude flights, use of night vision goggles (NVG), as well as formation flight missions and cargo drop operations.
In relation to the other awards, Cinetic Plus has won four of the lots, the same number as Flightsafety International, while Helisim has secured two contracts.
On the other hand, lot 2 has been left vacant despite a proposal being submitted, linked to the CN-235 aircraft, used by Wing 48, 49, Squadron 802, Cecaf, and the students and crews of Gruema.
Among the remaining training actions, those aimed at Super Puma helicopters, Falcon 900B aircraft, and Cessna Citation V executive jets also stand out.
The framework agreement will have an initial duration of two years, expected from the second semester of 2026 until the conclusion of the second semester of 2028, with the option for extension included in the specifications.
