Etihad Airways has commemorated the twentieth anniversary of its operations with France, which began with its first flight between Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) and Paris in June 2006, when the airline was less than three years old, had a network of nearly 34 destinations, and a fleet of 17 aircraft.
Currently, the Emirati company connects Abu Dhabi and the French capital with up to three daily frequencies and has expanded its presence in the country with a new city, offering seasonal summer flights to and from Nice.
"Twenty years flying to France is a milestone we are proud of, and at the heart of it all are the travelers who have chosen Etihad over these two decades," highlighted its CEO, Antonoaldo Neves, in a statement.
The anniversary coincides with a period of strong dynamism for Etihad, which is once again operating with capacity exceeding the previous year and continues its growth in Europe through new routes, increased frequencies, and codeshare agreements that strengthen its presence in the region.
In this new period of expansion, marked by rising demand in European markets, Etihad Airways now has a fleet of 124 aircraft and flies to 118 destinations in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Australia.
