Netflix Streaming Services Spain, the main subsidiary of the US multinational in the domestic market, closed 2025 with a net profit of 15.9 million euros, representing an increase of 30.2% compared to the 12.2 million recorded in the 2024 fiscal year.

The company's turnover for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025, reached 928.19 million euros, up from 786.62 million registered in 2024. This increase, close to 18%, was supported by the rise in streaming revenue, which went from 784.24 million to 926.50 million euros, an 18.1% increase.

Operating income amounted to 20.59 million euros, compared to 15.77 million the previous year, representing an improvement of around 30.6%. For its part, profit after tax advanced from 12.24 million to 15.94 million euros, with growth around 30.2%, according to the accounts presented by the company in the Mercantile Registry and consulted by Europa Press through Informa.

"MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP FEES" AS THE MAIN INCOME

The company details that its main source of revenue is "monthly membership fees," which are charged in advance at the beginning of each period and are recognized proportionally throughout it, reflecting net income after taxes passed on to users and subsequently paid to the Tax Agency.

The deferred income item includes fees already billed but not yet recognized as income, as well as gift cards and other prepaid memberships pending redemption.

The Spanish subsidiary had an average of 81 employees at the close of 2025, compared to 68 workers in 2024. The item allocated to salaries, wages, and assimilated concepts stood at 13.04 million euros, compared to 12.11 million in the previous fiscal year.

SHAREHOLDING STRUCTURE IN SPAIN

The company operates as a distributor of access to the Netflix service in Spain under a distribution agreement with Netflix International B.V., to which it pays a fee for this service. The operating margin it retains "constitutes an arm's length profitability, in accordance with the Netflix group's transfer pricing policy."

The direct parent company of the subsidiary is Netflix International B.V., which owns 100% of the share capital.

In Spanish territory, Netflix develops its activity through three companies: Netflix Servicios de Transmisión España, S.L.U., Los Gatos Entretenimiento España, S.L.U. and Netflix Animación España, S.L.U., oriented towards "sales, marketing, distribution and administrative, management or support services".
