The shares of Palantir Technologies, specialized in security and data analysis, soared this Tuesday more than 27% on the Nasdaq after the company described its second-quarter accounts as "out of this world," after tripling profit and nearly doubling revenue between April and June.

The company, whose name refers to the magical spheres in 'The Lord of the Rings' that allowed seeing distant places and communicating over distances, recorded a net profit attributed of 1.062 billion dollars (922 million euros), which represents an increase of 225% compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.

For its part, the billing between April and June of the tech company co-founded by Peter Thiel reached 1.935 billion dollars (1.679 billion euros), 93% more than in the second quarter of 2025.

In the accumulated first half of 2026, Palantir's earnings have skyrocketed 258%, to 1.932 billion dollars (1.677 billion euros), while revenue has advanced 89% year-on-year, to 3.568 billion dollars (3.097 billion euros).

For the whole year, the company has revised upwards its sales forecast, which it now places in a range of between 8.150 and 8.158 billion dollars (7.073 and 7.080 billion euros), supported by a 134% year-on-year growth in commercial revenue in the United States. Adjusted operating profit will range between 4.889 and 4.897 billion dollars (4.243 and 4.250 billion euros).

Palantir has also raised its adjusted free cash flow target, which it expects to be between 4.500 and 4.700 billion dollars (3.906 and 4.079 billion euros).

"The demand for sovereignty in AI has unleashed," declared Alex Karp, co-founder and CEO of Palantir Technologies, who again described the quarterly results as "out of this world" after the 149% year-on-year increase in commercial revenue in the United States.

In the conference with analysts following the presentation of the accounts, the top executive of Palantir did not hesitate to label the results as "amazing" and took the opportunity to emphasize the company's commitment to its main governmental partners in the United States, promoting "values and structures more important than simply extracting value from a customer," an approach that Karp defined as "parasitic."

"We reject the way they taught us in Silicon Valley to build a software company," added the executive, attacking those who maintained that the work "consisted of deceiving customers into giving us money for something that connected them to us, but that actually did not add value."
