The Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz, emphasized this Tuesday that the entry into the system of 262,475 people through the extraordinary regularization process represents "a success for the country" and "a collective success." She stressed that this result is directly linked to the public policies implemented by the Government, at a time when total affiliation has reached a historic high of 22.5 million contributors.
In an appearance before the media, the head of Inclusion highlighted the evolution of the labor market, noting that Spain has already added "66 uninterrupted months of job creation" and defending that it is a market where "quality and quantity go hand in hand." In the last year, 642,000 affiliates have joined, and the affiliation of foreign workers has reached a record of 3.5 million.
"Spain is creating 50% of the employment in the European Union and something that has never happened before is that quality and quantity go hand in hand with data that directly looks at young people," Saiz stated, pointing out that hiring of those under 30 has increased by nearly 50% since 2018.
The minister attributed these advances to specific measures such as the labor reform, as well as to the anti-crisis packages deployed in response to situations like tariffs or the "social shield," all supported by a "fundamental little branch" such as social dialogue, placing citizens at the center of political action.
Regarding the impact of regularization on the affiliation figures in the coming months, Saiz indicated that "a positive impact" is already being observed and announced that the Ministry will detail the overall effect when the processing of all files is completed. She specified that 81.5% of the registered individuals contribute to the General Regime and that the Community of Madrid leads the process with 51,844 affiliates.
"We are already surpassing 70% of the resolution of the files, but we are undoubtedly working to ensure that it continues to have that positive impact on affiliation," the minister insisted, clarifying that the data released corresponds to "a snapshot as of July 30 that is moving."
