The Kremlin has pointed out this Thursday that the United Kingdom is one of the key actors when it comes to sustaining military aid to Ukraine and doing "everything possible" to contain the signs of "fatigue" that, in its view, are beginning to emerge in other European states.

"There is a core of countries in Europe that are increasing their involvement in this war --whether direct, technological, technical, etc., for example, the United Kingdom," noted the Kremlin spokesperson, Dimitri Peskov, at a press conference.

"These countries are doing everything possible to curb this fatigue and, conversely, to prevent it from developing and to encourage European countries by all possible means to continue this war," Peskov said.

The already tense relations between London and Moscow have deteriorated even further due to the strengthening of British military support for Kiev, to the point that Russian authorities have warned of possible reprisals that could go beyond the areas where the conflict is currently taking place if they consider their interests to be threatened.

"We have the right to consider that the proud declaration about the direct participation of British missiles in attacks against Russia is participation in a war, with all the consequences that this entails," said this week the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov.

NO MEETING WITH THE US ON THE HORIZON

On the other hand, the Kremlin spokesperson has ruled out that a new meeting between Russian representatives and the envoys of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, Jared Kushner, and Steve Witkoff, will take place in the short term.

Thus, Peskov indicated that, for now, "specific dates" have not been set for a next visit by Trump's delegates. "As far as we know, the American negotiators are actively working in other areas of their foreign policy," he limited himself to stating.

"They are always welcome in Moscow. They are always welcome interlocutors," Peskov added, who, in parallel, has again ruled out a negotiated exit to the conflict in Ukraine, in light of the current situation on the front and the Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory. "Given the stance of the Kiev regime, there are no grounds for optimism," he concluded.
