At least six people have lost their lives and another thirty have been injured in a serious traffic accident recorded in central Italy, in which four vehicles were involved, including a bus and a motorhome.

The incident occurred between kilometers 18 and 19 of the highway that connects Terni with Rieti, at the height of the town of Colli sul Velino, located about 100 kilometers northeast of Rome.

According to information released by the Italian newspaper "La Stampa," among the fatalities there would be two bus drivers, two passengers from the twenty who were traveling on it, and another two people who were traveling in the motorhome involved in the accident, in which two cars were also affected.

After the crash, emergency medical teams, security forces, and five fire trucks from the provincial headquarters of Rieti and Terni have been mobilized, which have worked on rescue efforts and on stabilizing and securing the area.
