The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, has highlighted that the population of Ceuta is "welcoming, multicultural, and open" and has demanded "unity against division."
This Saturday, the leader of Se Acabó La Fiesta (SALF), Alvise Pérez, had to be escorted and evacuated by agents of the National Police from a concentration organized by his party in Ceuta, in the presence of counter-demonstrators from Ceuta. Before that event, a group of residents had shouted at him in a bar, where he was received with cries of "you persecute the weak" and "you take advantage of the situation to sow hatred."
In a message published on the social network 'X' and reported by Europa Press, Torres referred to these episodes and emphasized that "the citizenship of Ceuta is welcoming, multicultural, and open," qualities that, he indicated, "are also demonstrated in the worst moments, as has been seen these days."
"Unity against division. Integration against hatred. Democracy against fascist barbarism," the minister emphasized.
