Ver publicación en Linkedin #FromFlamesToFocus 🔥 | Yesterday, social media activity spiked 74% as the fire at #COP30 spread across our feeds. While there's not much new to say, the story itself highlighted something powerful: the spirit of cooperation. In a space where the word literally gathers, there were no badges, no flags, no political agendas slowing a swift, collaborative, and calm response.
Now, attention should focus on the real deal. As work resumes in the final strech, I want to highlight a crucial piece of the global climate puzzle: the efforts of those who don't represent countries, but represent regions, cities, businesses, and civil society - what we at UN Climate Change refer to as #NAZCA (Non-State Actor Zone for Climate Action). In much simpler words, climate action made by non-State actors.
This COP was particularly important for NAZCA because we shared how it continues to evolve after a decade of existence. We held a session to share what the future will look like for NAZCA, as there is an ongoing redevelopment that aims to further enhance #transparency, track progress on climate commitments worldwide, and reconize the leadership of NAZCA actors.
During the session, COP20 president Manuel Pulgar-Vidal shared the history since its inception, Vlad Trusca Transparency manager shared the importance of continue evolution and innovation, and Todd Edwards Tracking and Recognition Lead revealed exciting new components like the #NAZCANetwork and #NAZCAStories. Also, NAZCA friends like Clare Everett (CDP), Vishwas Chitale PhD (Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW)), and Andrea Camponogara (UNFCCC Regional Collaboration Centers) shared perspectives on the plans and near-term vision.
🛑✋ SO...are you working for a region, city, business, or civil society group on climate action?
🟢👀 Would you like to learn what will 2026 and beyond will look for NAZCA?

Ver publicación en Linkedin 🚨🤭 #COP30 Exclusive!!! | I'm SO thrilled to share that we have officially announced the Climate Data Hub at COP30 in Belém!!!
It's time to raise the curtain and share what we've been cooking for quite some time. I'm talking advanced technology (yes, really top-notch) fusing with UN Climate Change.
Together with Microsoft, EY, Nedamco Africa, a power tool has been designed to centralize climate intelligence like never before...not in the 31 years UNFCCC has existed, not event across the last decade of digital leaps, have we seen anything like this.
The #ClimateDataHub will make climate information accessible, reliable, and actionable for anyone with a computer. From negotiators searching for insights, to media looking for reliable facts, to civil society highlighting gaps, to researchers advancing future scenarios.
A centralized, authorative, technology-powered hub that transforms complex climate information into clear and usable insights - turning information overload into clarity and data into direction.
Stay tuned...I will be sharing more details soon 🚀
Official launch together with:
Xuehong W. Transparency Director at UNFCCC
Melanie Nakagawa Chief Sustainability Officer at Microsoft
Vlad Trusca Transprency Manager at UNFCCC
Marcio Gonçalves Director of Government Affairs at Microsoft
Colm Devine Global Vice Chair at EY
Lodewijk Wurfbain Climate Fin-Tech at NEDAMCO Africa

Ver publicación en Linkedin This is exactly my face 😏 when moderating a session that begins with technical discussions and evolves into a conversation about the power of people. It was a true pleasure to join the #BetweenTheGap 2025 Summit in Valencia.
Together with Renfe, Baleària, and ICODOS, we explored the idea that the future of mobility hinges not only on technological innovation but on our willigness to listen to the needs of our communities, and to embed accessibility, inclusion, and #sustainability into every step of the way. It is not merely a matter of batteries or low-impact energy sources; it is a deep reflection on the cities we aspire to build for tomorrow, and the kind of citizens we MUST become to make that happen.
I also brought up #KatyPerry - because, in an era where singers are being sent to take selfies in space, there's a lot of work to be done on access, equity, and resilience down here...on planet Earth. 👀
A heartfelt thank you to Social Nest Foundation for inviting me, and to Ana Escurin for curating such a masterful program! 👏 It was amazing to share the stage with Andrea Aunon Lazo, Jesús Blanco Cedrón and Francisco Vidal Vázquez - we certaintly had a great time advocating for change. The magic of these events also lies in reconnecting with familiar faces, like the incomparable master of ceremonies Daniel Truran! And meeting inspiring women who are working to move the needle 💜 like Arancha Martinez Fernandez, Annick Janssens and Gloria Gubianas Blanes.

Ver publicación en Linkedin Can every job be truly a #ClimateJob? 🧐 __ This common mantra in the climate space deserves a reality check.
Let me explain:
🔵 I've seen my Master's students believe consultancy is their best choice.
🔵 I've seen early professionals feel lost, unsure where to begin.
🔵 I've seen it in the workplace, climate projects often translate to unpaid voluntary work.
What's missing here? OPTIONS.
🟢 Early career professionals need clear pathways and better guidance.
🟢 Career changers need personalized mentoring to explore new opportunities based on their already acquired skills.
🟢 Senior professionals need climate action budgets (not sustainability budgets) but actual resources to inspire, innovate, and train teams.
We don't just need people motivated to work in climate; we need structures, funding, and frameworks to enable them.
I'm listing resources and tools here if you find yourself immersed in any of these scenarios ⚙️👉🏼 https://lnkd.in/dbBEHz9t

Ver publicación en Linkedin ✏️ Brief drop: MAKE BONN SEXY 🫦🇺🇳 (No, seriously)
Hey climate comms folks, creatives, and cultural agitators — we need your brainpower.
Every year, climate negotiators gather in #Bonn for the SBs — the Subsidiary Bodies sessions — which, despite sounding like a cold case file, are actually where a huge chunk of global climate policy gets hashed out. This is where countries negotiate the terms of climate finance, emissions tracking, adaptation support, and the mechanisms that (should) hold polluters accountable.
In other words: Bonn matters. A lot.
But… it’s also a comms nightmare 🥱.
There’s little media attention. Zero public hype. And almost no cultural energy around it 🪦. That’s a problem — because when no one’s watching, bad decisions slip through, and good ideas don’t get the momentum they need.
That’s where you come in.
📣 We’re launching the #BonnBabyBonn campaign to reframe the SBs as a hotspot for cultural climate action.
🧠 Here’s the brief:
What would it look like to make Bonn UNIGNORABLE?
★ Post something — anything — that brings the soul back into this space.
★ Use the hashtag #BonnBabyBonn
★ Together with the Entertainment + Culture Pavilion, we’ll amplify the boldest, sexiest, most culture-jamming ideas.

Ver publicación en Linkedin 🟢 Case Study __ Do you know how NDCs, Climate Finance and Transparency connect to each other?
The climate space is full of fancy words, accronyms, and technical jargon. But once you decode them, you quickly realize they're all interconnected.
Here's an exploration of that concept: a three-wheel engine driving today’s key global climate action:
1️⃣ NDCs
2️⃣ Climate Transparency
3️⃣ Climate Finance
How do these three key terms connect?
A question we began to explore. There is a tremendous effort by countries to gather data and intelligence to demonstrate their climate actions, in line with the reporting requirements of the Paris Agreement.
But can this effort serve another purpose?
YES. Every effort made in deploying climate action can have a positive ripple effect across other critical areas, for example, it can be used to attract #ClimateFinance. And who doesn't need more financial resources these days?
Very excited to finally share a case study we've been cooking this year! 🍳
Explore the case study which highlights how Panama 🇵🇦 maximized the value of transparency data and systems to advance its climate finance goals.

Ver publicación en Linkedin It’s time to break the myth 🛑 __ A peer-reviewed study shows that 89 out of 100 people worldwide want more #ClimateAction from their governments.
How is this shockingly good news? Because the supposed climate divide we often hear about isn’t real. It’s not a 50-50 split; it’s 89-11. After decades of evolving and improving #ClimateCommunications, we’ve reached a pivotal moment. A moment that proves why the focus shouldn’t be on converting, but on guiding the majority.
🟡 Guiding people on what they can do beyond recycling.
🟡 Guiding people toward accurate, trusted climate information.
🟡 Guiding people on how to stay hopeful amidst bleak headlines.
🟡 Guiding people toward tangible actions they can take today.
🟡 Guiding people to demand more ambition from their governments.
This shift is a testament to what many climate leaders—like Katharine Hayhoe, Anne Therese Gennari, Christiana Figueres, Solitaire Townsend, María Mendiluce, Alice Aedy, Ayana Elizabeth Johnson, Mie Dahlquist—have been championing for years: reporting great climate stories will undoubtedly boost more climate action.
So...what to do with this information? 👀
I wrote here five ideas on what to do next + the link to the study that reveals this incredible insight 📗👉🏼 https://lnkd.in/dfHCgBwa

Ver publicación en Linkedin Excited to be at HEC Paris 🎓 to deliver a lecture on the intersection of international affairs and global climate action to #MBAstudents specializing in these fields of study.
Engaging with MBA students from one of the world's leading business schools on #EarthDay added a special significance to the discussion. Their thoughtful questions about shifting political landscapes and their genuine interest in being part of the solution sparked a dialogue on the vital role business leaders play in times of turbulence in prioritizing #sustainability and #innovation.
I shared some stories on how I've aligned my passion for international affairs with a purpose-driven mission: to encourage every stakeholder in my network to act on climate. To choose be part of a transition that, in every way, offers a better way to live, love, and thrive in this wonderful planet. That is called #climateaction - but also common sense. 😜
A heartfelt thanks to Ana Hernández, Derrick Blackwell-Hunt, Bopanna B Prakash, Mariko Nakata, HEC Sustainability Club and HEC MBA International Affairs Club for this kind invitation. And of course, visiting the beautiful countryside near Paris was an added bonus! 🍋 À bientôt!

Ver publicación en Linkedin I've always thought that living abroad by choice is a privilege. Nearly a decade ago, I chose Barcelona as the city to pursue my dreams. That's why it felt truly special when Jose M. Martinez-Sierra kindly invited me to the 'Public Figure of the Year' ceremony, honoring the trajectory of the city's major, Jaume Collboni Cuadrado.
In the mayor's words, "I have the best job in the best city in the world, and that makes me a happy man." With humility, I find myself echoing that sentiment.
Though my work is international in nature, I'm fortunate to do it mostly remotely. And while the years go by and I keep missing Mexico, I continue to uncover treasures and a profound sense of belonging in a city that keeps offering me so much - the ultimate goal of anyone who relocates away from their first home.
As they said it yesterday, Barcelona is undeniably a powerful brand - but a brand must be rooted in substance. Above all, it can only thrive with a great community at its core. Otherwise, it would be a packed city, yet utterly hollow.
This is why I am proud to be part of the community within two institutions that embody the spirit and identity of this city: UPF Barcelona School of Management and Universitat Pompeu Fabra - and honored to celebrate another fellow alumnus, an iconic figure of Barcelona, whose philosophy has been to distinguish noise from opinions. Moltes felicitats a l'alcalde que camina, enhorabona!! 👏 👏
